    3 big words

So today I had a substitute leader at the big WW meeting and while I wasn't that thrilled with her, she did come out with a little "pearl" that sort of hummed with me.

Can is a word of beauty
Will is a word of power
Did is a word of achievement

I really liked this. When I think about leaving my mark on the world (if we mere mortals actually do!), I would love to think of myself as someone who has achieved success in my own right. Someone who is not only beautiful inside and out, but someone who has strength and integrity to see things through and stand behind my convictions. I love the message "live strong" that Lance Armstrong uses for his foundation mantra...it's the same kind of conviction and determination.

We all wish we did something different at one time or another. Sometimes it's also easier to not do something even though it may feel better to be able to say you've done it. But when you put it in the perspective of achievement and power, it seems ridiculous not to just freaking do it!

I'm on week four of WW and I've lost 4.2 or something like that...I'm really happy. No it's not dropping off faster than the speed of light, but it's something. It's the freaking bone I've been waiting a year and a half for and it took me gaining 40 to get here.

But I did it. I will continue to do it.
